This was started in 2000 and has been reworked considerably up and until 2004. All four books were originally finished sometime around 2001-2002. The revision only made it to the middle of book two and has been changed quite drastically. I honestly don't see myself ever continuing, so for anyone who is interested, here's the gist of it (from where it left off):

The woman at the end of chapter 14 is from some hidden elf town in the woods, who knows Jorhan and was only testing them. Jorhan didn't betray them, he went to get help (the elf lady). No, Rubin doesn't die (someone thought he would cause he's old -- what's all this hatin' against old people, damnit?). They later meet some old coot named Cara, who knows Asana. She guides them into the castle and they meet up with Asana, who fills them in on some stuff.

They find out that Akin is really Decca's father. He was born of the Dark Crystal, or some lame shit like that. He was supposed to conquer Undene's world, but instead fell in love with her and poof! Decca was born. Akin went psycho shortly afterwards and "destroyed" Undene's planet (sorry, I forget the name of it), but Asana, Undene's trusted friend, smuggled Decca to Jorhan, who brought her to Earth.

The crystal around Decca's neck is part of the Light Crystal, the source of power for Undene's world and the opposing force of Akin and his world (whose name I've long forgotten). Decca and team find out that Akin trapped Undene's spirit inside the Light Crystal, because he couldn't destroy it fully, then hid the crystal in some shrine. Asana and Olvin, who joined up with the side of good cause he has the hots for Asana, find where it's hidden.

It originally ended all happy and Akin died and all this shit. But in the reworked version it was supposed to go differently. Decca dies at the end, killing Akin with her mighty, Mary-Sue powarz. Kain is sad. *many single tears*

The end.
